Your 2017 Guide To: Texas Hill Country Oktoberfests

Your 2017 Guide To: Texas Hill Country Oktoberfests

So, I know it probably seems like I’m really focused in on this Halloween/fall thing a bit too early on in the season, BUT there are a zillion amazing Oktoberfests going on in the Hill Country over the next few weeks and I just don’t want you to miss it!  This whole area is so rich in German history so that should give you the perfect excuse to go check it out, right?! 😊 So, no dilly dallying around today…here they are in chronological order so you can pick your favorites and check out a new one each weekend if you want to!  Some are family friendly, some are not…click the links for all the details!

9/23: REAL ALE OKTOBERFEST, Real Ale Brewing Company, Blanco

9/29-10/1: ALAMO BEER COMPANY OKTOBERFEST, Alamo Beer Company, San Antonio

9/29-10/1: BOERNE OKTOBERFEST, Olde Town Shopping Center, Boerne
Don’t forget to bring non-perishable food donations for Hill Country Daily Bread’s Thanksgiving food drive!  Also be sure to head on over to The Deinger Trading Co. for the German Wine Tour on Friday night!

9/30: AUSTOBERFEST, Austin

10/6-10/8: OKTOBERFEST, Fredericksburg
Don’t miss the 8th annual Oktoberfest Kraut Run on Saturday!

10/6,7,13,14: OKTOBERFEST, Beethoven Maennerchor, San Antonio

10/21: OKTOBERFEST, Anhalt Dance Hall, Spring Branch

10/28-10/29: NXNW OKTOBERFEST, NXNW Restaurant and Brewery Stonelake, Austin

I will for sure be heading out to Boerne’s Oktoberfest kickoff on 9/29 at Olde Town Square...canned food donations in hand.  I’ll also be taking full advantage of my husband’s offer to stay with the kids that night so I can check out the German Wine Tour with a good friend of mine; should make for an awesome and much needed mom’s night out!  I would also love to make it to Fredericksburg’s Oktoberfest and Wurstfest in New Braunfels but we’ll see what time allows.  Which ones are on your bucket list for this year?  If you’re not from around here, does your town celebrate Oktoberfest?  Does your family enjoy taking part in the festivities?  Whatever you do, have fun!
