By now, you guys know that I’m OBSESSED with Boerne Handmade Market (BHM), right? Seriously, I love it so much I even volunteered at last April’s market…I got to wear a name tag and everything. See? Look at me, lookin’ all official and stuff!
Well, the upcoming fall market is just FOUR days away (not that I’m counting or anything) and this will be one for the BHM history books. It is the first time EVER that the market will be a two-day event! Maybe that doesn’t seem like such a big deal to you, but just WAIT until you see all the goodness that adding a Friday event to the schedule brings!
FRIDAY NIGHT FUN (ALL INCLUDED IN YOUR TICKET PRICE):
Chair massages: Courtesy of Monarch Physical Therapy, a Boerne and Comfort-based clinic that specializes in the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release technique to relieve pain and stiffness and increase range of motion...particularly in women! Learn more about Monarch Physical Therapy HERE.
A hand-lettering workshop: From Jordan of Selah Creative Studio, who you may have also seen at The Dienger Trading Co., The 8th Street Market in Comfort, Bird Bakery, and more. Be sure to also stop by Jordan’s BHM booth to shop her collection of handmade goodies and signs too! All proceeds benefit her family’s personal adoption journey. Learn more about Selah Creative Studio HERE.
Step-and-Repeat photography: Surely you’ve seen those celebrity photos from the red carpet with the beautiful backdrops and perfect lighting…the ones where they “step up” and take a pic then the next couple “repeats” the process? Well, Kate Cooley of Simply Serie Photography will join in on the Friday night fun with her very own step-and-repeat photography set up. And yes, you’ll be able to send the photos to yourself for sharing through all your social media channels, like we all love to do! Learn more about Simply Serie Photography HERE.
Live music, giveaways, and specials for early-bird shoppers: Tell me, who doesn’t love every single one of these things??
Sounds like a perfect opportunity to grab your girls and make a night of it: Go have dinner at any one of Boerne’s amazing restaurants first, then head on over to the Cana Ballroom for an evening of pampering, rock-star treatment, and a whole lot of fun. AND have first access to all that those amazing vendors have to offer!
Expedition, journey, adventure…whichever term suits your fancy, BHM Saturdays are not for the weak! You have a full SEVEN HOURS to explore over ninety handmade vendors, food trucks, and more. Also, back this year is the BHM Kids Market, an entire section just for little mini-makers and entrepreneurs to sell their wares. How cute is that?
So, whether you choose to venture out to see what Friday evening’s all-inclusive event is all about, shop the traditional Saturday Boerne Handmade Market we all know and love, or both…you will have an amazing time and will probably even get a head-start on checking things off that Christmas list of yours. The first 100 Friday night shoppers and the first 300 Saturday shoppers will each receive a complimentary BHM tote to haul all your treasures, courtesy of Brandi Quinn at Phyllis Browning Co. real estate. And, I also have a chance for you to WIN TWO TICKETS to Saturday’s market coming TONIGHT ON FACEBOOK. Be sure to give the page a “Like” or a “Follow” so you don’t miss out!
This event only comes around twice a year, is the largest of its kind in the San Antonio area, is owned and operated by two amazing local women in our community, and supports small business and the idea of “buying local” in a BIG way; all reasons why BHM is known and loved by so many and has the amazing reputation that it does. But don’t take my word for it, come check it out for yourself…I’ll see you at the market!
