First of all, what is Boerne Handmade Market?

“Boerne Handmade Market (or BHM) is a bi-annual, handmade only market. We have anywhere from 65-100 handmade vendors selling anything and everything you can imagine! BHM is a juried market, meaning that all vendors that apply must send in pictures of their work, their work is then taken before a board of jurors and our vendors are selected. BHM is a family friendly event that has music, a coffee bar, snacks, food trucks and kids’ activities.” (source)

Who’s responsible for running this show twice a year?

Well, that would be these two local ladies, Beth Legge and Alyssa Mantooth.  You can read all about them and the creation of the market in this article by The Texas Wildflower Magazine.  Y'all say "Hi!" to Beth and Alyssa!

What can we expect with this year’s spring market?

A seemingly never-ending assortment of reasonably priced, handmade, and totally on-trend gifts, home décor, baby items, toys, jewelry, clothing, and more.  Just take a look at these amazing vendors (and find the full list of participating vendors by clicking "Artisans & Sponsors" here.):

And tons of food!  This will be the first year for FOOD TRUCKS at the market and we have the likes of Cousins Maine Lobster, Tin Can Custard Co., Steel City Pops, and Fredericksburg Mini-Donut Co. to look forward to.  There will also be a coffee bar to keep you nice and fueled for your day of shopping. 😊

Not to mention the kids activities: bring your kiddos and let them enjoy free crafts by Pop Shop America and play on the playground outside.  Strollers are not allowed (due to space constrictions) so baby-wearing of the littlest shoppers is encouraged.  There will be a Mama's nursing space provided in the restroom.

How do we get tickets?

You can get them by clicking "Buy Tickets" here or you can buy them at the door.  You can also volunteer for a two-hour time slot and receive FREE ENTRY TO THE MARKET AND AN OFFICIAL BHM TEE

But that’s not the only way to get free tickets: check out this post on Facebook or this post on Instagram for your chance to win our giveaway.  The lucky winner will be announced on Wednesday, April 18th and will receive FREE ENTRY FOR TWO AND A BHM TEE AND TOTE BAG!

What are you most looking forward to at the market this season?  I'm itching to find something great for my mom and grandma for Mother's Day and to try out alllllll the food trucks. 😊

Don't forget, it's THIS Saturday rain or shine, and the first 200 in the door in the morning and the first 200 after 12pm will receive free BHM shopping bags.  Vendors will be providing specials all day long too, so it's never too late to show up.  See you there!
