Attention All Makers: Boerne Handmade Market is Looking for YOU...THIS WEEK!
If you've lived in the Boerne/San Antonio area for any significant amount of time, then you're probably familiar with Boerne Handmade Market (BHM). But for those of you who aren't,
"Boerne Handmade Market is a bi-annual, handmade only market. We have anywhere from 65-100 handmade vendors selling anything and everything you can imagine! BHM is a family-friendly event that has music, a coffee bar, snacks, food trucks and kids activities. Adult admission is $5 and children 12 and under are free! Parking is always free." (source)
This event takes place at the GORGEOUS Cana Ballroom at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Boerne and the next market is scheduled for October 26th-27th, 2018 (images courtesy of The Cana Ballroom):

So what does all this have to do with YOU? Well, the vendor application process for BHM is OPEN NOW...AND CLOSES JULY 11TH! That's next week! If you're a maker and you think your item would be a great fit for the market, NOW is the time to apply.
What are they looking for?
BHM co-founder Alyssa Mantooth tells us, "We look for vendors who create high-quality products that are unique and will appeal to the demographic in Boerne. We look for a beautiful display or booth set-up that is attractive to shoppers."
How do you apply?
You go HERE to register and pay the registration fee. Then you submit a jury page to be considered for your inclusion in the market. What's a jury page? Well, Alyssa explains, "BHM is a juried show...meaning all vendors submit a jury page (a resume of sorts) and they are selected by a panel of jurors. We don’t allow any more than 8% of any one type of product at the market. This cap is to ensure that each artisan has a captive audience, and provides a more diverse selection for our guests."
What's the cost/What do you get?
Registration is $160 and if you are NOT selected as a vendor, you receive a refund minus a $20 application fee. You keep 100% of profits made at the market and you're likely to see between 2500-3000 shoppers on Saturday alone! But this fall, BHM is a TWO-DAY event, and the addition of a Friday shopping day means more music, food, drinks, and classes that are sure to bring in even more shoppers for you!
What do you have to lose by applying?
Nothing more than the non-refundable $20 application fee and the time it takes to create a jury page. So what are you waiting for?
