Boerne Things To Do: "CREATE" With Boerne Handmade Market!
Last weekend, our Women’s Group held our February get-together: a Boerne Handmade Market CREATE night where we made adorable faux wall weavings, enjoyed yummy snacks and tasty beverages, and chatted about everything from our kids’ school programs to recent trips to Rome and upcoming treks across Spain. Y’all, this group is amazing…filled with the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and oh, so many laughs! But, I’m pretty sure I’ve bragged on these wonderful women enough over the past few months, so today, let’s talk about CREATE!
CREATE is the newest adventure for Boerne Handmade Market owners/organizers Alyssa Mantooth and Beth Legge, who’ve taken a small barn off of Blanco Rd. in Boerne and transformed it into a colorful, creative retreat. Each month, this innovative duo chooses a new craft to offer at The Craft Barn and tickets are sold through the Boerne Handmade Market website.
Our group opted for the faux wall weaving class and Alyssa and Beth walked us through every step of the process…and even helped make certain parts, for those of us who needed a bit of extra help—ahem, ME.
There was so much yarn, you guys…the possibilities for what we could make were endless!
It was so much fun to see what each person created…and to see our individual personalities really shine through in those creations! And as I mentioned before, the company really just couldn’t be beat.
Looks like fun, right? And you’re kind of sad you missed it? Well, no worries! If you would like to attend an upcoming CREATE event, you’ll find all the dates and details on the Boerne Handmade Market Facebook page or website…starting with these adorable rainbow wall hangings at the March 5th event. Get your tickets HERE!
You can also host a private CREATE event for your group, a birthday party, or even a girls’ night out. Or, rent The Craft Barn to just do your own thang, y’all!
And, as always, we’d love to have you join us in our Women’s Group where we get together monthly to meet new people, network, and just have a great (kid-free!) time. Most of our events support the local business owners IN OUR GROUP in some way or another, in addition to supporting a local charity through donating a portion of the ticket sales to a chosen charity of the quarter, and just being a whole lot of fun. It’s literally a win/win/win!
Have you made it to a Boerne Handmade Market CREATE event yet? Or one of our Women’s Group events? Tell us about YOUR experience in the comments…and we hope to see you again soon!
