I feel like, this year, people are really getting into the whole “New Year, New Me” thing more than ever when it comes to simplifying their lives and organizing their homes…and I blame it on Marie Kondo. It’s a beautiful, freeing thing to purge your home of unwanted or unnecessary items, but it isn’t always easy—especially when it comes to getting rid of mountains and mountains of children’s clothing and goods! And on the flip-side of that, who doesn’t love finding a good deal on the next round of clothing, shoes, and toys our ever-growing kiddos need?

Hello, moms! Have you heard the news? Rhea Lana’s of Northwest San Antonio’s TENTH semi-annual Children’s Consignment Event is fast approaching! The upcoming Spring Event, which kicks off on March 31st, will be our biggest and best yet and we’re hoping you’ll join the FUN! Here are three ways you can get involved:
1. Consign with Us!
Consigning is easy! Just SIGN UP on our website and from there, you can enter the items you’d like to sell. We accept all things your kids have gently loved, including clothes (birth through teens, as well as maternity), shoes, books, toys, baby gear & equipment, outdoor toys, movies, and more. We recommend you price your items at 30% of retail (that’s 70% off), and also that you agree to sell at half-price during the final days of the event (half is better than none, right?). At the end, you may either pick up unsold items or choose to donate them to local foster families and other charities who partner with Rhea Lana’s.
And the best part of consigning? You earn 70% of your sales! The average consignor makes over $400 at our events—whoa! Wouldn’t that be a nice bonus this Spring?! Checks are ready to pick up on the final day of the event, April 7th.

2. Volunteer with Us!
This popular event would not be possible without the help of volunteers! No experience is necessary to join the team, and there is a place for everyone to get involved. Opportunities include helping consignors check their items into the store, merchandising toys and shoes, greeting shoppers, helping folks check out, and sorting items after the event. We even have “Dad” shifts available to help with moving in/out, carrying heavy purchases for customers, and security.
In exchange for your help, you’ll earn early shopping passes to attend the Private Pre-Sale, so you can shop before we open to the public! Plus, we are a FUN team to work with and know you’ll enjoy the Rhea Lana’s experience. The more volunteer shifts you work, the earlier you can shop…Ready to sign up to be a volunteer? Click HERE!
3. Shop with Us!
You’ll enjoy shopping THOUSANDS of high-quality, gently-used, name-brand and boutique items at a fraction of retail prices! The store is clean and well organized, and the friendly volunteers will be ready to help you find what you’re looking for. Stock up on all your baby needs, clothes for spring & summer, dress-up costumes, holiday attire, shoes, toys, books, and MORE. You will be thrilled with the quality of the items, and you’ll love the savings! Mark your calendar and bring a friend! The Spring Event takes place March 31st through April 6th, with a special shopping day for foster families on the 7th. You’ll find the FULL SCHEDULE on our website, and physically, you’ll find us at 1604 & Bandera, between Target and Lowe’s (formerly Office Max).
Unable to consign or volunteer with us this year, but still want to get in on the Pre-Sale action on March 30th? We have three more ways you can do that!
Military Service Members can shop starting at 1pm with a Military Pass, which will be posted to our Facebook page or sent via email prior to the event.
Moms-to-Be (through birth or adoption) can shop from 2-9pm with a Moms-to-Be Pass.
Not a Mom-to-Be or Military? No worries, Rhea Lana’s has a Guest Pass which allows you to shop the Pre-Sale from 4-9pm.
AND, if you aren’t able to make it in the early days of the event, join us April 3rd-6th for 25% and 50% off remaining items!
Additionally, many of our consignors choose to donate items that don’t sell at the event. We offer those items to local foster families for FREE. If you (or someone you know) have opened your heart and home to foster parenting, this is the place to be on April 7th!
